37 mOhm Rds(on) at 2 A — the load budget number
The TPS22915BYFPT is a single-channel, high-side load switch from TI's TPS22915 family, built around an N-channel MOSFET with a typical on-resistance of 37 mOhm. That Rds(on) is the first number a designer checks: at 2 A continuous output, the voltage drop is under 80 mV, and the dissipation stays below 150 mW — no heatsinking needed in most layouts. Load discharge and slew-rate control — sequenced power-on
Two integrated features save external components. The slew-rate controlled turn-on limits inrush current into capacitive loads, preventing a supply droop on the upstream rail. The load-discharge function pulls the output to ground when the switch is disabled, so the downstream rail does not float — useful for multi-rail sequencing where an unpowered domain can back-feed through ESD diodes.
