2 A load switch with controlled turn-on for power-rail sequencing
The TPS22912CYZVR: It switches load voltages from 1.4 V to 5.5 V and delivers up to 2 A continuous output.
Slew-rate control and fault protection
The slew-rate controlled turn-on limits inrush current into the load capacitance, preventing a voltage droop on the input rail. This matters when the switch powers a downstream regulator or a bank of decoupling caps that would otherwise draw a large charging current at start-up. Integrated reverse-current blocking prevents the load from back-driving the input when the switch is off, and the under-voltage lockout (UVLO) holds the output off until the input rail is high enough for clean operation. The On/Off interface is non-inverting and does not require a separate Vcc supply — the enable pin is referenced to the input voltage, simplifying the control logic interface.
Package and board-fit for volume assembly
The 4-DSBGA (0.88×0.88 mm) package has a 0.5 mm ball pitch typical of TI's DSBGA family. The stencil aperture and pad size must match the recommended land pattern to avoid solder bridging or opens.
