What this load switch does on your board
It handles a load voltage from 2.7 V to 18 V and delivers up to 2 A continuous output. The typical on-resistance is 79 mOhm, which keeps conduction losses low enough that you can run 2 A through this SOT-23 without a heatsink in most layouts — just watch the copper pour. The switch is controlled by a simple On/Off logic input (non-inverting), and it includes over-temperature protection and undervoltage lockout (UVLO) so it shuts itself down before the board cooks. The slew-rate controlled turn-on limits inrush current on capacitive loads, which is handy when you are switching a bank of bulk caps at power-up.
