Three outputs, two voltage rails — ExpressCard slot sequencing
The TPS2231PWR: This is a high-side power-distribution switch designed for ExpressCard slots, delivering three independent outputs from a 1:1 input-to-output ratio. Two outputs handle the 1.5 V rail and one handles the 3.3 V rail, matching the power-up sequencing that an ExpressCard controller expects. Each output is rated for 1.3 A continuous, and the typical on-resistance is 45 mOhm.
Fault protection and status feedback
Built-in current limiting (fixed threshold) and over-temperature protection guard the switch and the downstream load against shorts or overcurrent events. A power-good output and a status flag give the host controller visibility into the switch state — useful for sequencing or fault logging.
