The TPS2115ADRBR is a source selector switch that automatically chooses between two input power sources (2:1 ratio) and delivers up to 2A continuous to a single output rail. It targets handheld and mobile devices where battery and USB power share a common load. Supply range 2.8V to 5.5V covers single-cell Li-ion (3.0–4.2V) and 5V USB VBUS, so the same part works across battery-powered and bus-powered designs.

2A output and 55 µA quiescent current

Rated for 2A continuous output, the internal N-channel FET switch keeps conduction losses manageable for a tablet application processor or a multi-rail PMIC front end. Supply current is 55 µA typical — low enough to avoid draining the battery during standby while the selector monitors both inputs. Turn-on delay is 1 ms; turn-off delay is 5 ms. These prevent glitches during source transitions but are fast enough for hot-swap events.
