Product details

Single-channel high-side power switch with integrated protection

The TPS2065D: The switch is self-powered — no separate Vcc supply is needed — and uses a non-inverting On/Off interface with a 1:1 input-to-output ratio. The Status Flag output signals overcurrent or overtemperature faults to the host controller.

Protection set and temperature grade

Fault protection includes fixed current limiting, overtemperature shutdown, and undervoltage lockout (UVLO). These three protections cover the common failure modes in a USB or general-purpose power-distribution port: a shorted load, a thermal runaway event, or a sagging input rail. The 125°C TJ max means the part can sit near a hot processor or in an unventilated enclosure and still deliver its rated current as long as the board copper and airflow keep the junction below that ceiling.

Active production and compliance

It is fully ROHS3 compliant, with no RoHS exemption carve-outs.

Frequently asked questions

What fault protections does the TPS2065D include?

It integrates three protection mechanisms: fixed current limiting (no external sense resistor needed), overtemperature shutdown, and undervoltage lockout (UVLO). The Status Flag output asserts low when any of these faults is active.
