USB OTG port protector with integrated switch
The Texas Instruments TPD8S300RUKR is a USB OTG protection IC built around an internal switch topology. It is designed specifically for USB On-The-Go ports, where a single connector must handle both host and device roles, and the VBUS line needs overvoltage protection. The part operates at a 3.3V working voltage and clamps transients to 8V, protecting downstream circuitry from overvoltage events on the VBUS line. Two independent circuits are integrated in a single 20-WQFN (3x3) package.
