Dual-channel 8V clamp for USB-C VBUS protection
Two independent protection circuits in a single 3x3 mm 20-WQFN package let you protect separate VBUS or power-rail inputs without doubling the footprint — useful on a cramped USB-C port or a multi-rail sensor interface.
8V clamp — what it protects and where it sits
An 8V clamping voltage means the part holds the output below 8V when the input rail spikes above that level. That is enough headroom for a 5V supply rail, but too tight for a 12V or 24V industrial bus — this part is sized for USB-C VBUS (5V nominal) and similar low-voltage protected rails. Because the technology is Internal Switch (a series FET that opens), the downstream IC sees a disconnect rather than a shunt-to-ground transient — cleaner for sensitive PMICs and codec supplies than a crowbar-style clamp.
Package and footprint — 20-WQFN with exposed pad
Surface-mount assembly only; the small body and 0.5 mm pitch suit automated pick-and-place but demand careful solder-paste stencil aperture design to avoid bridging on the centre pad.
