Rail-to-rail ESD clamp for signal lines
The Texas Instruments TPD3E001DRYRG4 is a steering (rail-to-rail) TVS diode array designed to protect three high-speed data lines from ESD and other transient overvoltage events. It integrates three unidirectional channels in a tiny 6-UFDFN package (6-SON, 1.45x1 mm footprint), making it a fit for space-constrained PCBs in portable and general-purpose equipment. The part clamps transients by steering the surge current to the supply rails, with a peak pulse power rating of 90W and a minimum breakdown voltage of 11V.

The 90W peak pulse power (8/20 µs waveform) tells you the device can absorb a substantial ESD strike or short-duration surge without failing. For a 5.5V reverse standoff (max) rail, this translates to a clamp current in the ampere range — enough for IEC 61000-4-2 level 4 contact ESD (±8 kV) in most handheld and industrial interfaces. The 11V breakdown minimum ensures the part starts conducting before the downstream IC's absolute maximum is reached, assuming a 3.3V or 5V supply.
Package and temperature — board-level reality
The 6-UFDFN (also called 6-SON, 1.45x1 mm) is a leadless package with a small exposed pad. It is surface-mount only, and the tiny footprint means the PCB layout needs careful trace routing to keep the signal path short and the inductance low — critical for fast ESD edges.
