SC-70-3 dual-channel Zener clamp
14V breakdown, 13V standoff — operating margin
The 13V reverse standoff voltage defines the maximum DC or signal voltage the protected line can carry without the diode conducting. Above that threshold, the Zener breakdown clamps the line at 14V minimum, limiting the voltage seen by the IC. For a 5V or 3.3V signal rail, this provides a wide margin — the clamp engages only during an ESD event, not during normal logic swings. The two bidirectional channels share a common substrate but are independent — each can protect one signal line to ground. The SC-70-3 package routes the two channels to two I/O pins and the third pin to ground, keeping the layout compact for tight PCB areas.
Sourced through independent distribution, it is quoted to order per the BOM quantity — no minimum buy or allocation constraints typical of end-of-life parts.
