Audio amp for portable line-out and headphone drives
The Texas Instruments TPA6101A2DG4 is a Class AB stereo headphone amplifier rated for 50 mW per channel into a 16 Ω load. It operates from a single 1.6 V to 3.6 V supply. Built-in depop circuitry suppresses turn-on/turn-off clicks, and the short-circuit and thermal protection layers let the part survive a miswired headphone jack or a stalled output without latching up. Shutdown control drops quiescent draw to near-zero for battery standby.
50 mW per channel — what it means for your BOM
The 50 mW into 16 Ω rating determines the maximum unclipped output into typical earbud or headphone loads.
