The depop circuit eliminates the pop noise when the amplifier turns on or off — no need for a muting relay or soft-start capacitor. The shutdown pin lets a microcontroller or GPIO cut the amp's quiescent current to near zero when audio is idle, useful for battery-powered gear. Differential inputs allow a balanced signal path from the codec or DAC, rejecting ground-loop hum that single-ended inputs would pass through.
