The TPA3136AD2PWPR is a stereo Class D amplifier delivering 10 W per channel into an 8 Ω load. The exposed pad on the 28-TSSOP package handles dissipation at full output.
Built-in depop and protection — one less BOM line to worry about
Depop circuitry suppresses the power-on thump that otherwise requires an external mute relay or series FET. Short-circuit and thermal protection are on-die, so you don't need a separate current-sense resistor or thermistor window comparator. That saves board area and qualification effort — especially useful when the amp shares a board with a Bluetooth module or MCU that has its own thermal constraints.
Package and mounting: 28-TSSOP with exposed pad
That pad is the primary heat path — without a proper via stitch to a ground plane, the junction temperature will exceed the 85 °C ambient limit well before the output reaches 10 W continuous. Surface-mount only.
