The 8V to 26V supply range means this amplifier can run from a single-cell lithium-ion battery (nominal 3.7V boosted to 8V) all the way up to a regulated 24V industrial supply. SpeakerGuard™ protection — what it saves on the BOM
The integrated SpeakerGuard™ depop circuit eliminates the power-on pop that otherwise requires an external muting relay or a dedicated soft-start circuit. Short-circuit and thermal protection are built in — the amplifier shuts down before the output FETs overheat, which removes the need for a separate thermal switch or PTC resettable fuse on the speaker line. The differential inputs reject ground noise between the source and the amplifier, saving a ground-lift resistor or isolation transformer in a multi-device setup.
