Class D stereo amp — 6W per channel into 8Ω, SpeakerGuard™ protection
The Texas Instruments TPA3113D2PWPR is a Class D stereo audio amplifier IC delivering 6W per channel into an 8Ω load from a single supply rail spanning 8V to 26V. It integrates depop circuitry, differential inputs, and short-circuit, thermal, and shutdown protection under the SpeakerGuard™ series. The 28-HTSSOP package (4.40 mm width, PowerPAD) sinks heat through the exposed pad to the PCB copper — plan a thermal via array under the pad for continuous 6W output into 8Ω. The -40°C to 85°C operating range suits industrial audio, automotive cabin infotainment, and powered-speaker applications where the ambient stays below 85°C.
Supply rail and output power — what they mean for the BOM
The 8V to 26V supply range covers a 12V automotive battery or a 24V industrial rail. At 12V into 8Ω the output is 6W.
Active production — no obsolescence risk for new designs
The TPA3113D2PWPR carries an Active lifecycle status from Texas Instruments. The part is ROHS3 compliant and available in Tape & Reel or Cut Tape.
Mounting and thermal — PowerPAD layout note
The 28-HTSSOP package has an exposed thermal pad. Solder the pad to a PCB copper plane with thermal vias to the inner ground layer.
