25W mono Class D with SpeakerGuard
The TPA3112D1PWPR is a 25W mono Class D amplifier from Texas Instruments' SpeakerGuard series, delivering 25W into an 8Ω load from a single channel. The 28-HTSSOP package (4.40 mm width PowerTSSOP) has a thermal pad underneath; the board layout needs a decent copper pour and vias to the ground plane to keep the die temperature below the thermal shutdown threshold at full output.
Protection set and supply tolerance
Short-circuit and thermal protection are built in, plus a shutdown pin for mute or power-save — the amplifier survives a speaker-wire short without letting the magic smoke out, and the thermal foldback keeps the output stage from cooking itself on a hot day. Differential inputs reject ground noise between the source and the amp, which matters when the audio source and the power supply share a board or a long cable run. The 8V to 26V supply range covers 12V and 24V industrial rails with margin — no extra regulator needed if the rail is stable within that window.
