The TPA301DR delivers 700 mW into an 8 Ω load from a single-channel (mono) Class AB output stage — enough to drive a small speaker or headphone in a portable device without an external heatsink.
Protection features and shutdown
Built-in short-circuit and thermal protection prevent damage if the output is accidentally shorted or the die overheats — the amplifier shuts down and auto-recovers when the fault clears. A dedicated shutdown pin lets the system microcontroller put the amplifier into a low-power idle state when audio is not needed, saving battery current.
ROHS3 compliant, with no restricted substances above the threshold — no special handling or documentation required for EU-market shipments.
