2.9W mono with integrated headphone amp
The TPA2051D3YFFT is a Class D audio amplifier from Texas Instruments' DirectPath™ and SpeakerGuard™ series, delivering 2.9W into a 4Ω speaker load from a single mono channel, plus a separate 25mW stereo headphone output into 16Ω. It operates from a 2.5V to 5.5V supply, making it suitable for single-cell Li-ion or 3.3V/5V rail designs in portable audio gear.
I²C-controlled feature set
Volume control, input multiplexer selection, and depop (click/pop suppression) are all managed over the I²C bus — no external pots or analog switches needed. Integrated short-circuit and thermal protection, plus a shutdown pin, simplify the system-level protection scheme.
