Protection features and shutdown control
Short-circuit and thermal protection are on-die — no external clamp diode or PTC needed. The shutdown pin lets a GPIO or a codec headphone-detect line pull the amp into low-power mode; quiescent current in shutdown is under 1 µA (typical), which matters for battery standby budgets. The depop circuit ramps the output bias slowly, so no audible pop on enable.
