Switch parametrics for signal routing
Texas Instruments TMUX4157NDCKR is a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) analog switch with a 2:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer configuration, housed in a 6-lead SC-70-6 (SOT-363) package. The 8Ω maximum on-resistance keeps signal attenuation low in series-switching applications, and the 300mΩ typical channel-to-channel matching simplifies gain-error budgeting in differential or multiplexed paths. With a -3dB bandwidth of 340MHz and crosstalk of -42dB at 10MHz, this switch handles high-speed analog or digital signals — suitable for video routing, RF switching up to VHF, or high-speed data multiplexing.
Supply rails and charge injection
Operates from a single supply of 4V to 12V, covering common 5V and 12V analog rails. Charge injection is rated at -25pC typical — low enough that the injected charge does not disturb the sampled voltage in a precision ADC front-end when the switch toggles between channels. Maximum switch times (ton/toff) are 20µs, which sets the channel-switching rate ceiling for multiplexed acquisition systems.
The SC-70-6 (SOT-363) footprint is 2.0mm × 1.25mm with a 0.65mm pin pitch — a compact, low-profile package that fits dense mixed-signal boards. Surface-mount assembly with standard reflow profiles.
