200 MHz on a dual-core C28x means you can close a current loop inside 1 µs and still have headroom for a field-oriented control algorithm with sensorless observers. The 1 MB Flash holds a full application stack without external memory, and the 102K x 16 RAM gives enough buffer for several cycles of ADC data logging.
Analog front-end: 20+9 ADCs and 3 DACs
Data converters include 20 x 12-bit and 9 x 16-bit ADCs plus 3 x 12-bit DACs. That is enough simultaneous-sampling channels to read phase currents, DC-link voltage, and resolver feedback on a single chip. The 16-bit ADCs handle the high-resolution position feedback; the 12-bit group covers the faster, lower-resolution current sensing. No external ADC needed for most servo drives.
