Industrial and automotive temperature grade
The core supply is 1.81 V to 2 V, separate from the I/O rail — a common split-plane arrangement on C2000 designs. The 56 I/O lines are 3.3 V tolerant, so level shifting to 5 V peripherals needs external translation. The internal oscillator trims the BOM by one crystal, though an external clock can be fed in for tighter accuracy.
The base product number TMS320 covers the whole F2812 family, so pin-compatible siblings share the same footprint and can be qualified as a second source for supply resilience.
