90 MHz C28x core — real-time control headroom
The TMS320F28062UPNT is a 32-bit C28x single-core MCU clocked at 90 MHz.
Memory budget for firmware and data
128 KB of Flash (64K x 16) and 26K x 16 of RAM handle moderate-sized control algorithms and data logging. The Flash is organized for efficient erase/write — useful for storing calibration tables or parameter updates in the field. The RAM size supports double-buffered PWM duty-cycle updates and a modest circular buffer for ADC samples.
Peripheral set for motor-drive and industrial comms
On-chip peripherals include a 12-channel 12-bit ADC, PWM modules, and a watchdog timer — the usual building blocks for a motor-drive or power-converter controller. Connectivity covers CANbus, I²C, McBSP, SCI, SPI, UART/USART, and USB, so the part can talk to a host controller, an encoder, or a sensor hub over a single bus. The 40 I/O pins give enough headroom for a few external interrupts and status LEDs alongside the main interface lines.
