The TMS320F28052PNQ is a 32-bit C28x Piccolo microcontroller qualified to AEC-Q100 and rated for -40°C to 125°C. It runs at 60 MHz, with 64 KB Flash and 10K x 16 RAM, and integrates a 16-channel 12-bit ADC, CAN, I2C, SCI, SPI, and UART/USART interfaces. The 80-LQFP package (12x12 mm) provides 42 GPIOs.
60 MHz core — what it drives
The 60 MHz clock rate places this MCU in the sweet spot for real-time control loops: motor-field-oriented control, digital power conversion, and BLDC commutation at PWM frequencies up to tens of kilohertz. The 64 KB Flash holds a full control stack plus communication stack; the 10K x 16 RAM provides enough headroom for two or three simultaneous PID loops and data buffers.
Supply voltage and internal oscillator
Core supply is 1.71 V to 1.995 V.
