50 MHz C28x core — real-time control loop headroom
The C28x 32-bit core runs at 50 MHz. The 64 KB of on-chip Flash (32K x 16) holds moderate firmware images.
Design the power tree with a low-dropout regulator for the 1.8 V core and confirm the I/O voltage compatibility from the datasheet.
Peripheral set: PWM-rich, no CAN
The peripheral complement includes PWM channels, a 7-channel 12-bit ADC, and serial interfaces: I²C, SCI (UART), and SPI. Notably absent is a CAN controller.
38-TSSOP footprint and 20 I/O
Housed in a 38-lead TSSOP with 0.240" body width (6.10 mm), this is a compact surface-mount package. Twenty general-purpose I/O are available.
