C2000 C28x fixed-point DSP with automotive qualification
It integrates 32 KB of Flash program memory and 6K x 16 of RAM, plus a 16-channel 12-bit ADC, all in a 100-LQFP package. This part is AEC-Q100 qualified.
100 MHz C28x core — real-time loop headroom
The 100 MHz clock on a single-cycle 32-bit fixed-point MAC engine gives this DSP throughput for real-time control loops. The 6K x 16 RAM holds state variables and lookup tables.
Peripherals and connectivity — one-chip control
The on-chip 16-channel 12-bit ADC samples all three phase currents plus DC-link voltage in a single conversion sequence. The PWM module with dead-band generation drives the inverter gate drivers directly. CANbus (DCAN) and three SCI/UART ports handle the vehicle network and sensor links; SPI and I²C cover local peripheral expansion. 35 GPIOs are enough for encoder inputs, fault latches, and a few discrete I/O without a port expander.
100-LQFP (14x14 mm body) is a standard JEDEC footprint for mid-density DSPs. Surface-mount reflow with typical lead-free profiles is straightforward.
