The TMS320F28016PZS runs a 32-bit C28x fixed-point core at 60 MHz. The 32 KB on-chip Flash and 6K x 16 RAM hold a moderate firmware stack.
The 1.71 V to 1.89 V core supply keeps the digital rail within a tight window; the internal oscillator and POR eliminate two external components in a space-constrained ECU layout. On-chip CANbus, I²C, SCI, SPI, and UART interfaces cover the common automotive and industrial network links without external transceivers on the digital side.
