8-bit digital temp sensor in a 1x1 mm DSBGA
The TMP103EYFFT is an 8-bit digital temperature sensor from Texas Instruments in a 4-DSBGA package measuring just 1x1 mm. It reports local temperature over an I²C/SMBus interface with ±2°C typical accuracy (±3°C max over the full range).
One-shot and shutdown for low-power duty cycling
One-shot mode initiates a single conversion and returns to shutdown, drawing near-zero quiescent current between reads. This suits battery-powered or intermittently polled systems where continuous sampling would waste power. The I²C/SMBus interface supports standard addressing and multi-drop configurations. The 8-bit resolution gives 0.5°C per LSB — adequate for thermal monitoring of CPUs, FPGAs, or power stages where sub-degree precision isn't required.
Active lifecycle, ROHS3, standard sourcing
Packaged in Tape & Reel (TR) for production reels or Cut Tape (CT) for prototyping. The 4-DSBGA footprint requires a solder stencil and reflow profile matching the 1x1 mm body — not a hand-solder part.
