Features that matter for low-power and alert designs
The TMP100MDBVREP includes a shutdown mode and standby mode for reducing supply current between measurements — useful in battery-powered or energy-harvesting nodes. The one-shot feature lets the host trigger a single conversion and then return the sensor to standby, minimizing average current. An output switch (open-drain alert pin) can be programmed to assert when the temperature exceeds a set limit, offloading the host from continuous polling.
Package and mounting — SOT-23-6 footprint
The part comes in a 6-lead SOT-23 surface-mount package. The SOT-23-6 footprint is compact and fits dense PCBs where board area is tight. The supplier device package is also SOT-23-6, so no footprint mismatch between the generic case code and the TI-specific marking.
Lifecycle and sourcing reality
The TMP100MDBVREP carries an Active lifecycle status per the manufacturer, with ROHS3 compliance.
