Automotive Hall switch with 5 mT threshold
The TMAG5124A1CEDBZRQ1 is a unipolar Hall-effect switch from Texas Instruments, designed for automotive environments. It switches on when a South Pole field exceeds 5 mT and releases at 1 mT, giving 4 mT of hysteresis to prevent chatter near the threshold. Supply voltage is 2.7 V minimum, with a current-source output rated for 5 mA continuous. The switching current is 18 mA typical — the output pulls high when the field is above the trip point. Operating temperature covers -40°C to 150°C ambient, which qualifies it for under-hood and transmission-oil applications where the silicon must survive prolonged soak at 125°C and peaks to 150°C.
