2.5 V supply, ±6 mT trip — the switching window that decides the magnet
The TMAG5123B1CQDBZT: The ±6 mT trip point with a ±0.3 mT release hysteresis sets the magnetic budget: a neodymium magnet at 3 mm air gap typically delivers 15–25 mT, so the switch latches cleanly, but a ferrite magnet at 5 mm may land inside the release band and chatter. The open-drain output pulls to ground when the field exceeds the trip threshold; a pull-up resistor to the logic rail is required.
Omnipolar detection — one magnet, either pole
Responds to both north and south poles — the output switches low when the field magnitude exceeds ±6 mT regardless of polarity. This simplifies magnet orientation in assembly: a magnet inserted backwards still triggers the switch.
