Latch output with bipolar switching
The TMAG5111C2AQDBVRQ1 is a Hall-effect latch that toggles its open-drain output when the magnetic field crosses ±2.6 mT — a 2.6 mT south pole trips the output on, a -2.6 mT north pole releases it off. This bipolar switching characteristic makes it suited for position and speed sensing in rotating assemblies — a magnet passing the sensor once per revolution produces one clean pulse edge, unlike a unipolar switch that requires the magnet to leave the detection zone before resetting.
Wide supply range and temperature grade
Operating from 2.5 V to 38 V with a maximum supply draw of 8 mA, the latch runs directly on an automotive 12 V or 24 V rail without an external regulator — the wide compliance covers cold-crank dips and load-dump transients within the 38 V ceiling. Rated for -40°C to 125°C ambient, this is the full automotive temperature band (Grade 1 equivalent). A sensor in an engine-bay position or transmission housing sees the full range without derating.

Supplied in the SOT-23-5 (SC-74A) surface-mount package, available in Tape & Reel or Cut Tape options. The 5-pin footprint is a common Hall-sensor layout — board spin is not required if replacing an existing SOT-23-5 latch.
