2.6 mT latch — magnetic threshold and output behavior
The TMAG5110A2AQDBVRQ1: This is a Hall-effect latch: the output toggles when the applied magnetic field crosses the 2.6 mT trip point (north pole) and resets at -2.6 mT (south pole). The 2.6 mT sensitivity sets the usable air gap — a magnet with surface field well above 2.6 mT at the sensor face is needed to guarantee switching over temperature and mechanical tolerance.
The 2.5 V supply rail and 8 mA switching current keep self-heating low — the junction temperature stays close to ambient even in a sealed module. Surface-mount SOT-23 package fits standard pick-and-place assembly; the small footprint suits space-constrained ECU and actuator PCBs.
