Memory map and peripheral headroom
The 1 MB program Flash is organized for efficient firmware OTA updates — the 256 KB SRAM can buffer a new image while the current one runs. The 6 KB EEPROM is separate from the Flash array, so configuration data survives reprogramming without needing a dedicated sector. The 24-channel 12-bit ADC covers multi-sensor analog front ends without external muxing. The brown-out detect and POR eliminate external supervisor ICs in cost-sensitive designs.
For new designs, the Tiva C family has broad second-source compatibility across the TM4C129x series, but verify pin compatibility at the specific package variant.
