Memory and peripheral headroom for protocol-heavy firmware
1 MB of on-chip Flash and 256 KB of SRAM leave room for a full TCP/IP stack, a USB host stack, and a real-time control loop without external memory. The 6 KB EEPROM space handles calibration constants and MAC address storage without wearing the Flash. The 24-channel 12-bit ADC samples analog inputs from current sensors or potentiometers on the same die.
