80 MHz Cortex-M4F with FPU — compute headroom for control loops
That FPU matters when you are running PID loops, sensor fusion, or motor-control algorithms without a separate DSP — the hardware divide and MAC instructions keep cycle counts deterministic. On the connectivity side, this part carries CAN, USB OTG, and multiple serial interfaces (UART, SPI, I²C, SSI, Microwire, IrDA) plus a quadrature encoder interface for motor position feedback. The 12-channel 12-bit ADC samples analog inputs like current-sense resistors or thermistor bridges. The 64-LQFP package (10x10 mm) with 43 I/O lines fits on a two-layer PCB without heroic routing.
