80 MHz Cortex-M4F with FPU — real-time control headroom
The Texas Instruments TM4C1231H6PGEI7R is a Tiva C series ARM Cortex-M4F 32-bit MCU clocked at 80 MHz, with 256 KB Flash and 32K x 8 SRAM. The floating-point unit handles PID loops and sensor fusion math without a separate DSP coprocessor. 105 general-purpose I/O lines in the 144-LQFP package give enough pins to drive a parallel LCD, read a bank of encoders, and still leave room for a CAN transceiver and two UARTs.
