For higher-speed ADC drivers or video buffers, a part with faster slew rate and wider GBW would be needed. The rail-to-rail output stage maximises dynamic range in low-voltage single-supply designs — the output can swing within millivolts of each rail, preserving signal headroom at 1.8 V.
