What this comparator brings to the board
The TI TLV7031DCKR is a single-channel, general-purpose comparator with a push-pull output stage that eliminates the need for an external pull-up resistor. Its 7 mV of built-in hysteresis keeps the output from chattering on slow-moving or noisy input signals. The quiescent current sits at 900 nA maximum. Supply range runs from 1.6 V up to 6.5 V.
No separate industrial-grade or automotive-grade variant needed — the same SC-70-5 package covers those environments. The 73 dB CMRR and 77 dB PSRR give it decent common-mode and supply rejection for a comparator in this current class, so it won't false-trigger when the 5 V rail sags during a motor start.
