12-bit dual DAC with buffered voltage output
The Texas Instruments TLV5618ACP is a 12-bit, dual-channel, voltage-output digital-to-analog converter in an 8-pin PDIP package. It integrates two DACs on one die, each with a buffered output that can drive a load directly without an external op-amp. The SPI-compatible serial interface handles the data transfer, and an external reference sets the full-scale output span. The 10 µs settling time means each channel can update at roughly 100 kSPS, fast enough for audio-level waveform generation, closed-loop motor-current setpoints, or programmable voltage references in bench instruments. The dual-channel architecture saves a second DAC package and the associated board area.
The analog and digital supply rails share the same 2.7 V to 5 V range, which simplifies the power tree.
The 8-pin PDIP (0.300-inch body width) is a through-hole package that suits prototyping, breadboarding, and low-volume production where hand-soldering or socketing is preferred. The supplier device package code is 8-PDIP.
