Precision reference in a small footprint
The TLV431BCDBZT is an adjustable shunt voltage reference from the TLV431 family, offering a ±0.5% tolerance on the 1.24 V reference voltage. That half-percent precision is the B-grade differentiator — it holds tighter than the standard 1% grade, which matters when the reference sets the ADC threshold or the regulation point in a power supply.
Output current and temperature range
The shunt can sink up to 15 mA continuous — enough to drive an optocoupler LED, bias a transistor, or pull up a resistor divider in a feedback loop.
