Adjustable shunt reference with ±1% tolerance
The TLV431AILPME3 is a low-voltage, adjustable precision shunt reference from the TLV431 family. It delivers a regulated output from 1.24V up to 6V, set by two external resistors, with a guaranteed tolerance of ±1%. The shunt architecture sinks up to 15 mA of output current while drawing only 80 µA cathode current — the minimum bias needed to keep the reference in regulation. This low quiescent current makes it suitable for battery-powered or power-sensitive designs where every microamp counts.
Industrial temperature range and through-hole package
Housed in a TO-92-3 through-hole package with formed leads, it is a direct fit for prototyping boards, point-to-point wiring, and low-volume production where surface-mount reflow is not available. The supplier device package is TO-92-3.
For new designs, a functionally equivalent shunt reference should be evaluated — the TLV431 series includes active variants in surface-mount packages.
