Automotive-grade dual comparator with 60 mV hysteresis
The TLV4082QDBVRQ1 is a dual general-purpose comparator from Texas Instruments, qualified to AEC-Q100 Grade 1 for automotive applications. The 60 mV internal hysteresis cleans up slow-moving or noisy input edges — a window comparator monitoring a battery voltage or a sensor threshold sees fewer false triggers from ripple or ground bounce. With a maximum quiescent current of 6.5 µA per channel, the part fits into always-on battery-monitoring or wake-up circuits where the comparator stays powered while the rest of the module sleeps.
Temperature grade and board-fit for under-hood electronics
The -40°C to 125°C operating range covers the AEC-Q100 Grade 1 temperature band — the comparator is rated for the under-hood ambient seen in engine-bay ECUs, transmission controllers, and brake-system modules. At 125°C junction temperature, the 6.5 µA quiescent current ceiling holds, so the thermal budget of a tightly packed ECU is not stressed by the comparator's own dissipation. The SOT-23-6 package (1.6 mm × 2.9 mm body, 0.95 mm pitch) fits a standard low-profile footprint. The two comparator channels share the same supply and ground pins; the board layout needs a bypass capacitor near pin 6 (V+) and pin 2 (GND) to keep the 60 mV hysteresis effective against high-frequency supply noise.
