What the TLE2425CLP does in a single-supply signal chain
The TLE2425CLP is a precision virtual-ground reference that creates a stable 2.5 V mid-rail from a single supply between 4 V and 40 V, letting single-supply op-amps handle bipolar signals without a negative rail. Its fixed 2.5 V output is accurate to ±0.8% and can source or sink up to 20 mA — enough to bias the input stage of several op-amps or a small analog front-end. Output noise is 100 µVrms over the 10 Hz to 10 kHz band, and the typical temperature coefficient is 20 ppm/°C, so the virtual ground stays within a few millivolts across a 40°C ambient swing.
Package, mounting, and board integration
Housed in a TO-92-3 (TO-226AA) through-hole package, the TLE2425CLP fits the same 0.1-inch pitch footprint as a 2N3904 transistor — hand-solderable, socketable, and easy to breadboard. Supplied in bulk, so it ships loose in an anti-static bag rather than on a tape-and-reel — fine for prototyping or low-volume production but not pick-and-place ready without tube or tray handling.
Lifecycle and compliance
ROHS3 compliant, meaning no restricted substances above the threshold limits; no lead, no cadmium, no DEHP — fits global RoHS requirements without an exemption.
