Single JFET op-amp for high-impedance signal chains
The Texas Instruments TLE2081AID is a single JFET-input operational amplifier from the Excalibur™ series, packaged in an 8-SOIC for surface-mount boards. Its 10 MHz gain-bandwidth product and 45 V/µs slew rate suit it for fast signal conditioning — think photodiode transimpedance stages, ADC input buffers, or active filters that need to preserve pulse edges without slew-induced distortion. The JFET front end keeps input bias current at 20 pA typical, which matters when the source impedance is high and you cannot afford a voltage drop across a resistor divider. Supply span runs from 4.5 V up to 38 V. Output can source or sink 48 mA per channel. Temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
What the 45 V/µs slew rate means for your signal path
Slew rate is 45 V/µs. Gain bandwidth product is 10 MHz. Supply span minimum is 4.5 V. Number of circuits is 1.
Active production, no obsolescence risk
The TLE2081AID is listed as Active with ROHS3 compliance. No last-time-buy notice or end-of-life warning is on record.
8-SOIC footprint and mounting
The 8-SOIC (0.154" body width, 3.90 mm) is a common footprint shared with countless op-amps and comparators. No special pad geometry needed — standard SOIC-8 land pattern. Surface-mount only; through-hole equivalent would require a different package variant.
