Dual 555 timer in 14-SOIC — 2.1 MHz, 720 µA supply
The Texas Instruments TLC556MDR is a dual 555-type timer/oscillator in the LinCMOS™ series, combining two independent timing circuits in a single 14-SOIC package. It delivers a maximum oscillation frequency of 2.1 MHz while drawing only 720 µA typical supply current — roughly one-tenth the quiescent draw of a bipolar 555, which matters for battery-powered or thermally constrained boards.
The TLC556MDR operates from 5 V to 18 V, covering 5 V logic rails, 12 V industrial supplies, and 15 V analog bias lines without an external regulator.
