A comparator that won't load your signal chain
It pairs two independent comparators in a single 8-pin DIP package, with CMOS, push-pull, and TTL-compatible outputs. The 5 pA typical input bias current at 5 V means you can sense high-impedance signals — pH probes, photodiode currents, or precision voltage dividers — without adding a buffer stage. Propagation delay is 4.5 µs max, fast enough for most threshold-detection and window-comparator loops in industrial control or instrumentation.
What the quiescent current buys you
At 50 µA max quiescent for both channels, the TLC3702CP fits into always-on monitoring circuits where every microamp matters — battery-backed alarm thresholds, supervisory circuits, or low-power sensor front ends. The 84 dB typical CMRR keeps the threshold accurate across the common-mode range, so you don't lose margin when the input rides on a noisy supply rail.
Single-supply operation from 3 V to 16 V, or split supplies up to ±8 V, covers 5 V and 12 V legacy rails as well as 3.3 V logic systems. For automotive or outdoor deployment you would step to an industrial-grade sibling.
Package and mounting
Supplied in an 8-pin PDIP (0.300-inch width, 7.62 mm pitch) for through-hole assembly. The DIP package is breadboard-friendly and easy to hand-solder during prototyping. For a surface-mount alternative, the TLV9032DDFR offers a similar dual comparator function in a smaller footprint.
