The TLC27L2IDR is a dual CMOS operational amplifier from Texas Instruments' LinCMOS™ series, packing two independent op-amps into an 8-SOIC package. Its headline draw is 20 µA total supply current for both channels — a figure that makes it a strong candidate for battery-powered sensor interfaces and always-on monitoring circuits where every microamp matters. The 110 kHz gain-bandwidth product and 0.03 V/µs slew rate set the signal ceiling: this part handles DC and low-frequency AC signals (thermocouple outputs, strain-gauge bridges, photodiode amplifiers) but will slew-limit on fast edges above a few kilohertz. For the intended duty — conditioning slow-changing analog signals — the bandwidth is a feature, not a limitation.
Precision for high-impedance front-ends
Input bias current is 0.6 pA typical — low enough that a 10 MΩ source resistor introduces only 6 µV of offset error. Paired with a 1.1 mV typical input offset voltage, the TLC27L2IDR preserves signal integrity in circuits where JFET-input op-amps are common, but without the higher supply current those parts typically demand. Supply range spans 4 V to 16 V, covering single 5 V and 12 V rails as well as split ±2.5 V to ±8 V supplies.
