5V fixed rail, 150mA capacity — what it handles
The TL750L05CDR is a single-output positive linear regulator from Texas Instruments, delivering a fixed 5V at up to 150mA. It comes in an 8-SOIC surface-mount package and operates over 0°C to 125°C.
PSRR and quiescent current — the so-what
PSRR is 65dB at 120Hz, which is the standard ripple frequency from a full-wave rectifier. That level of rejection cleans up a post-capacitor rail well enough for most analog loads — op-amp supplies, sensor bias, microcontroller VDD. Quiescent current sits at 2mA typical, 12mA max supply current. Not an ultra-low-Iq part, but acceptable for always-on rails where the load itself draws tens of milliamps or more.
Protection set — built-in, no external clamp needed
The part includes overcurrent, overtemperature, overvoltage, and reverse polarity protection. That means a single regulator can survive a swapped battery connection or a load short without an external TVS or series diode on the input — saves board space and BOM cost in automotive body modules, industrial control boards, or point-of-load 5V rails.
