Product details

Adjustable shunt reference in SOT-23-3

±2.2% tolerance and 100 mA cathode current

The ±2.2% initial tolerance on the reference voltage is tighter than the standard TL431's 2.5% grade, which matters when setting a precise output rail without trimming. The device can sink up to 100 mA through the cathode, enough to drive the optocoupler LED in a feedback loop or to pull down a pass transistor's base drive in a linear regulator. Below that the device drops out of regulation, so the bias resistor from cathode to supply must be sized to maintain at least 1 mA through the part over all load and line conditions.

Industrial temperature range, obsolete lifecycle

The SOT-23-3 footprint is a direct drop-in for many designs that need the smaller board area.

Frequently asked questions

What is the tolerance of TL432QDBZT?
